Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As 2021 comes to an end, The Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC) wants to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

While 2021 went by quickly, CFMC did a lot of great work in Morgan County last year. Our community is resilient and the efforts CFMC focused on last year will only help our future generations be even more successful. Ashley True, Office Manager and Christine Arnold, Finance Manager have mastered taking care of our fundholders and helping operate our offices. Jessica Schwarz, Community Development Officer, was in the community with boots on the ground building relationships with stakeholders, working on efforts to promote quality of life, and she organized 2 full ride Lilly Scholarships and 87 scholarships to many very deserving high school seniors. Then Deanna Stone, CFMC dynamic Marketing Manager, helped share the stories of CFMC on social media, our website, and our e-newsletters. Finally, as President, I worked closely with our devoted board of directors to push K-12 Mental Health and Workforce development programs through Impact Grants, worked closely with our school systems for the Lilly Endowment Implementation Grant, and met with those in the community to address Morgan County’s top needs.

At year end the CFMC team takes the time to reflect on what we did well, where we have room to do better, and celebrate goals accomplished. We look forward to working even harder in 2022 with you by our side.

“It takes each of us to make a difference for all of us.” – Jackie Mutchson.
Wishing all of you the joy of the season!
