Thrive Grant Update – Town of Monrovia Implements New Community Message Board

In December of 2023, CFMC funded a matching Thrive grant to bring an electronic messaging board to Monrovia next to the Town of Monrovia building. The electronic messaging board went through a design phase, and the project was completed in January 2024. The electronic messaging board is intended to provide community news and information to the public, specifically those that do not have access to social media. Monrovia residents can look forward to information such as public events, public service, and government messages. Local organizations can contact the Town of Monrovia office if they wish to post event information for the public.

CFMC is committed to improving placemaking and quality of life in each of our communities. Thrive grants open annually and provide local governments and municipalities an opportunity to leverage grant dollars and implement new, permanent initiatives that are accessible to everyone.
