The Missing Piece Campaign Fund – 1155
Fund Type: Passthrough Fund
To teach first responders how to better respond to individuals with behavioral and mental disorders.
Missing Piece Campaign was started out of the need to have a unified and streamline course that teaches First Responders how to better meet the needs and safely interact with Individuals that have behavioral and mental disabilities and disorders. My wife, Kelsey, is an ABA therapist and has a degree from Ball State in Early Education with a concentration in interpersonal relationships and a minor in psychology. I, Chad, am a certified EMT, Dispatcher. I have also worked as a Correctional Officer in both Adult and Juvenile facilities. I have interned with the Indianapolis Division of Homeland Security and Volunteers regularly with the Medical Reserve Corps of Morgan County. The Wife and I saw the need and realized we have the experience and training to make a difference. We have a strong network of resources that we can pull from for experience and guidance. We hope to make this a nation wide organization so that EVERYONE has the ability to get the proper help and interactions from First Responders.
