2026 QUARTERLY MEETINGS: March 11, June 17, September 16, December 9
Brew Link Brewpub, Mooresville, Indiana.  5:30-7 PM

ATTENTION ALL 501(C) (C) NONPROFITS: Become a member today and recruit other members who will nominate and vote for your organization! The more nominations you generate for your cause, the more you increase your chances of being chosen as one of the three featured nonprofits during the events, increasing your chances of winning the quarterly grant! In 2025, Guys Who Give granted more than $70,000 to 4 worthy Morgan County nonprofits!

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: Guys Who Give will convene every quarter, and within an hour and a half will give away thousands of dollars with no strings attached to the dollars. Each member commits $500 annually paid in $100 increments. The $100 membership fee goes to an endowment fund at CFMC as a forever fund, and the other $400 is used as grant money for the winning non-profit organizations who wins the most votes at the quarterly meetings.  Members are encouraged to bring a guest. All donations to this group will be TRIPLED this year with Lilly matching funds. Several counties are doing this with great success. Help us bring this successful group to Morgan County.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR NONPROFITS? Members will nominate, advocate, and vote for their favorite nonprofits at each quarterly meeting. Three Morgan County 501(c)3 organizations will be randomly selected from the nomination hat. The nominating members will each have 5 minutes to make a “sales pitch” on behalf of the nonprofit.  If a nonprofit wants to send a representative, that person must be a member.  Members vote by ballot immediately following the presentations and the winner is announced that night.   A check presentation is scheduled for 2 weeks following the event.

Please fill this out if you are a nonprofit in Morgan County or serving the community in Morgan County.

Members make a $100 contribution to the forever fund and agree to $100 per quarter. Your total annual commitment is $500.

The money is held in a forever fund at CFMC and the annual disbursement can be used for purposes of supporting members’ goals of the fund.

Membership is through the end of the year. Each Member is asked to formally renew their commitment in January the following year.

Your commit begins when you join. Membership is $100 and the remaining $100 quarterly payments will be due at or before those meetings.

2026 QUARTERLY MEETINGS: March 11, June 17, September 16, December 9 at Brew Link Brewpub, Mooresville, IN. 5:30-7 P.M.

Yes, you may attend one meeting as a guest. Guests are not eligible for nominating or voting.

Members can nominate one 501(c)(3) nonprofit that qualifies for an income tax charitable deduction. Those nomination forms are placed in a hat. That nomination form also names the member who will present the 5 minute “sales pitch” for that nonprofit. If you wish to nominate a nonprofit the night of the meeting, please visit www.IRS.gov (https://www.irs.gov/ charities-non-profits/exempt-organizations-select-check) to verify that your organization is a free-standing 501(c)(3) public nonprofit; not under an umbrella 501(c)(3). This will help eliminate any confusion the night of the meeting as to whether the intended nominee is actually a 501(c)(3) with the IRS. The nonprofit does not have to be located in Morgan County but must serve residents of Morgan County. The names of three nonprofits will be drawn. Each presenter has 5 minutes to advocate for the nonprofit’s cause followed by two minutes to answer questions from the group. Members then vote by ballot immediately following the presenters. Votes are counted, and the nonprofit obtaining the most votes will receive the quarterly grant. The winning nonprofit will be announced at the end of the meeting.

No. The keep a level playing field among all the nonprofits and have a similar chance to win votes, this is not allowed. It is acceptable to have a poster, picture, etc. at the podium.

Only a paying member may make a presentation and his name must appear with the nonprofit’s name on the nomination form. No substitutions or naming of a presenter is allowed after the nonprofit’s name is drawn.

One or more men may select another member to present for a nonprofit if that person has agreed in advance to make the presentation.

We encourage you to find out as much as you can about the nonprofit as possible in advance of your presentation. You may NOT solicit help from other members or a nonprofit representative who may be attending as a guest. The question & answer session is not a group discussion.

Part of your written commitment on the membership form is to support the nonprofit chosen by the popular vote of the members of Guys Who Give Morgan County, even if you are not agree with the selected winner.

Send your proxy vote with another member and make sure CFMC is aware of who it is. Please make sure your quarterly dues are paid online prior to the meeting or by sending a check to the meeting with another member.

Your name will be used for Guys Who Give Morgan County communications only. Per our policies, any member who has access to our contact list is asked to use it only for official Guys Who Give communications.

Once a nonprofit is awarded a grant, they may not be nominated at another Guys Who Give quarterly meeting for the next 2 years.
