Lilly Endowment GIFT IX Community Project Grant

2026 Lilly Endowment GIFT IX Community Project Grant

The Community Foundation of Morgan County is committed to strengthening the long-term vitality of our community by addressing critical needs. The Community Project Grant Program, funded by Lilly Endowment Gift IX, provides strategic funding opportunities for transformative initiatives aligned with three key pillars:

Affordable Housing- Temporary & Permanent

Childcare Access & Affordability

Food Insecurity & Poverty Relief

Up to $500,000 in funding is available per pillar to support high-impact, collaborative, and sustainable solutions that directly benefit residents of Morgan County.

This funding opportunity prioritizes organizations that:

  • Address root causes of community challenges

  • Demonstrate measurable outcomes and long-term sustainability

  • Leverage partnerships and community collaboration

  • Serve vulnerable and underserved populations

Applicants may request funding for new initiatives, program expansion, or capacity building efforts that align with one or more of the three pillars. Preference will be given to organizations that submit a collaborative LOI in partnership with another nonprofit addressing similar needs. Only one application is needed per partnership.
